[Terminator] I'm Back [/Terminator]

Tue Feb 10, 2009, 7:08 AM
It's been a while since I wrote a note.

It's also been ages since I actually drew anything beyond the sketch stage. However, circumstances have compelled me to flee the country, leaving behind all my paints and modelling gear, so it's back to basics, pencil 'n' paper style. I'm actually kind of enjoying it more coming back to it from a long absence. I've been practicing with a few small A5 pencil drawings, [link] [link] [link] but in the back of my mind, I still want to make a comic.

The plot for my comic has changed quite a lot since its inception, I keep rubbishing my own ideas or finding similarities to other stories. At the moment it's come full circle (literally) into a time-travelling journey of self-realisation. The only thing that remains constant is the main characters' costume, which I will consider fairly original until proved wrong. [link]

As I mentioned, I'm not based in the UK at the moment any more. This is nothing to do with the hitmen chasing me or heinous government plots to politically maneouvre me away from seizing power, but more a conscious choice on my part. After struggling to find a job of any sort back home, I decided to work at a summer camp in New Jersey last year. In short, it was the best summer ever, and awakened in me a love of travel and also working with children (something I told myself I'd never ever be able to do).

I took the next step and looked at longer trips, and in a few short months moved to South Korea as an English teacher. Other than speaking English like a native, I'm not really qualified or experienced for this, so it's very much learning on the job. It can be great fun though, I've been here over a month now and met some fun people and had some good times.

It was good and bad, I didnt like how they ended it, and some quotes were super gay, but I liked parker's dancing :D

Yeah that crazy dancing. I agree it did have its good points and overall I'd say a fun film, just not in the same league as 1 & 2.
